The antidote for the sailing blues
2016 January 1
We offer sailing experiences to do now that will tide over restless sailors until the season starts
GO SAILING AND LET SOMEONE ELSE DO THE WORK
Maybe a charter sounds like a lot of work and what you really want to do is sit back, relax and just enjoy sailing. A cruise on a large sailing ship may be just the ticket. A crew will do all the work, or often will let passengers pitch in, someone else does the cooking and like-minded folks can quickly become new friends. Arabella, a 157-foot megayacht owned by Manhattan Yacht Club, offers cruises to the public throughout the year as well as special ASA member-only cruises. Star Clippers sails fully rigged sailing ships to destinations that are farther afield but sure to be a remedy for a sailor struck with a case of wanderlust.
