Spinlock’s new VITO life jacket and harness is a version of the life jacket Volvo Ocean Race sailors wore that has been modified for every day sailors. It features a hydrostatic automatic inflator, several adjustment points for a customized fit that can be quickly modified to account for layers, a newly designed sprayhood and wider more comfortable leg straps. It also includes a high-intensity water-activated flashing LED light with a wand that offers better visibility above a victim’s head and life jacket bladder illumination lights that turn the entire life jacket into a glowing target. The integrated harness features a new harness release system for quick release from a safety line by opening the harness connection point and releasing the wearer in the rare case it is required.
