Sailing the latest bluewater cruiser from the German-based Hanse Yachts can all be accomplished from the helm, thanks to its self-tacking jib, and all lines led aft to the twin winches at the twin helms, including sheets and reefing lines. The 508, designed by Judel/Vrolijk, has a powerful sailplan, and the optional second forestay allows you to fly larger headsails for more light air speed. And belowdecks, the cruiser features lots of storage for longer passages, and a large owner’s cabin with a king-size island berth.
