New Boat Showcase
It’s boat show season, and this year there is a range of new boats hitting the shows from Newport to Miami. From a fun inflatable dinghy and a foiling racer to comfy cruisers, our editors share some of the exciting new designs.
The X-Yachts flagship, which takes performance cruising to a new level with its redesigned exterior styling and an entirely new interior, will make its debut in Annapolis this month. The Xp range features dual-purpose yachts that are highly competitive when sailed with a full crew and also easily handled by a couple or family and are equally suited to a relaxed weekend cruise or a longer bluewater passages. The bowsprit is available in four configurations to suit different racing or cruising styles. The Xp 55’s new interior features three cabins and a large U-shaped galley fitted for the gourmet cook. The beautifully styled interior has three cabins and two heads, each with separate shower stalls. An optional layout features three heads and a smaller galley. The 55’s transom lowers to create a swim platform and provide access to the dinghy garage. The Xp 55 will be a winner on the racecourse and stylish performance cruiser, making the most of both worlds.
