New Boat Showcase
It’s boat show season, and this year there is a range of new boats hitting the shows from Newport to Miami. From a fun inflatable dinghy and a foiling racer to comfy cruisers, our editors share some of the exciting new designs.
HH 55
Making its debut in Annapolis at the U.S. Sailboat Show, the HH55 is a performance cruising cat designed by Morrelli & Melvin. This cat has a lot of muscle, with more than 2,000 square feet of upwind sail area and the ability to fly a 2,032-square-foot reacher. Like its bigger sister the HH66, the HH55 features curved C daggerboards for greater performance and a smoother ride. It is available in two versions, a traditional aft cockpit or center cockpit with the helm forward. All this horsepower will make the H55 popular on the Caribbean racing circuit and its beautifully fitted interior will make bluewater cruising luxurious.
