J/11S
The new 36-foot J/11S is a modified J/111 designed for doublehanded offshore racing. J/Composites gave the 11S twin rudders and with a single tiller and changed the sailplan, shortened the vertical center of gravity and increase stability, with the goal of optimizing its IRC rating. The J/11S is different from other boats in it’s class because it’s designed to perform upwind as well as downwind. That makes it good for North American doublehanded races. LOA 35’9”; Beam 10’10”; Draft 7’2”; Displ. 9,300 lbs.; Sail area 609 sq. ft., www.jboats.com. Price: $325,000
