SAILING Magazine is seeking a hard-working, self-sufficient advertising sales representative for an outside sales position. Candidates must have an advertising sales background with a knowledge of the marine industry.
Sales representatives will be provided with some recent accounts but are also expected to generate new business, foster good relations and meet sales goals in a highly competitive field. Some travel will be required. Individuals already selling for non-competing magazines or involved in another aspect of the marine industry are especially encouraged to apply to supplement their income.
Candidates should be highly motivated with excellent phone skills and the ability to close the deal. Although the sales representative will be expected to work from their home office or facility, he or she will be able to take advantage of SAILING Magazine support staff and marketing resources.
SAILING Magazine is the oldest continually published sailing magazine in the country and is well-respected in the industry. Our products include our oversized printed magazine, published 10 times a year, a digital edition, website, e-newsletter and other special publications.
