David is an avid sailor and lifelong photographer who has traveled the far reaches of the globe to capture images of sailboats racing and cruising.  

Whether on assignment crewing the Sydney-to-Hobart Race off the coast of Australia, island hopping in the Caribbean or bareboat cruising the Mediterranean, David brings to life the magic of the event with his words and photographs.

An award-winning photojournalist and longtime contributor to SAILING Magazine, his images and articles have appeared in dozens of magazines and newspapers, including Canoe & Kayak, Power Cruising, Professional Boat Builder, Boat International, Offshore, Northeast Boating, Yankee, National Geographic, Cape Cod, Taste, Firehouse, Baseball America, the Boston Globe and USA Today. 

Based in Boston, David has also provided hard news images and reportage for the Associated Press and United Press International (Reuters).

As an ASA sailing instructor, nationally-certified emergency medical technician and adjunct college professor with degrees in ecology and history, David has a background well equipped for any adventure travel or expedition assignment.
